One Full Year Of Free Information

I read an interesting article the other day which said that when starting an online ‘publishing’ business, you should give away free content for one full year and not try and sell any products.

The idea behind the year long free content giveaway is that you build a following which you nurture and build a powerful relationship of trust.

I see what they are saying, it makes sense.

People don’t generally like to be sold to and they certainly don’t like being sold to by strangers from the get go.

Building and nurturing a relationship is incredibly powerful which is why the chap who wrote the article was suggesting it.

In the internet marketing world there is an analogy which is often used and that is…

Asking for the sale early is like asking someone to marry you on the first date.

If you were to go on a first date and before you had finished your first drink asked the other person to marry you and to settle down with you and start a family, the chances that your date would stick around are slim.

That’s the point; you scare people off by coming on too strong, too early.

He suggests that after a full year of sharing content, you can then offer a product to sell and there should be enough people who will want it and trust you enough to buy from you.

It makes sense.

After a year, most people will know you well enough and trust you enough to make a purchase.

However…

I believe that you can do both.

You can offer a year of relationship building content for free AND sell products.

Why would you want to pass up on the opportunity to make money?

Your emails should always point to a website where you have a series of products for sale which are ‘comfortably’ priced for those who may want to buy.

You should give them the opportunity.

Let them decide what they want.

There is a balance between not scaring people away by being too aggressive in your approach sending only ‘buy my stuff’ emails and building a trusting relationship by giving everything away for free.

Put a link to your products at the bottom of your emails and articles and subtly suggest people to take a look.

If they click through and make a purchase, that is their decision.

When I say ‘comfortable’ priced products, I am referring to prices which people are happy to spend at Amazon. Things such as an eBook priced at £19.99 or more.

You have to be well trusted and well known to be offering products or services at thousands of pounds, but ‘comfortable’ priced eBooks and courses is not a problem.

Have several of those available on your website and you can make sales from people who visit your website organically by finding it online or those who have clicked through the links in your emails.

I see no reason as to why you would not try and make money while growing your email list and building a trusting relationship with those people.

Firstly, people will grow to trust you at different rates. After a couple of weeks some people will trust you enough to buy from you, others would probably still not trust you after several years.

Secondly, people need information which will help them to change their lives and they will pay for it if you can offer them what they need at a ‘comfortable’ price, no matter who you are.

By all means give away free information and great content to build trust and grow an email list, but remember that you need to make money and you can if you list products correctly on your website.

If you would like to know how to build your own website, grow your own email list and create your own library of professional products which you can sell, go to:

A Cheeky Little Way To Make Money Using Other People’s Content

As I’m reading through my morning collection of articles on a popular website, I am struck by how many of them are basically saying the same thing.

There is a lot of information out there about a lot of topics and as I say, much of it is saying the same thing.

As an example, I have recently read articles by several freelance writers telling me:

  • How to find my first freelance writing client.
  • How to become a five-six figure a year freelance writer.
  • How to make a passive income as a writer.
  • How to write the perfect viral article.
  • How to make X amount per hour as a freelance writer.
  • How to build an audience for your writing.
  • How to write the best headlines.

Each of those freelance writers have written articles covering all or most of those listed above… and they published them for free.

And this had me thinking…

I see a way to make money from this.

Firstly, let me remind you of an important saying:

‘There’s nothing new under the sun.’

This is true, apart from a completely brand new scientific discovery, virtually all you will read online, in books, and in newspapers is the same old same old just dressed in new clothing.

Some might include personal experiences and results, but on the whole, the backbone of those articles is the same.

Recently I told you about the woman who made £139 by spending one hour writing an article which she then sold on a specific website.

That website was called Constant Content and it is a market place where writers upload articles which they wish to sell and where business owners go to buy articles for their websites and newsletters.

All content which is submitted has to be original and free from plagiarism. Basically, you cannot copy word for word someone else’s article and submit it, which is understandable.

But you don’t need to copy other people’s articles word for word. You only need to read a couple and then rewrite them.

This is where I believe that you can make money from this.

Each morning, you read a few articles on specific websites which deal with certain topics and niches, decide which one you want to recreate, maybe read a couple more similar articles, take notes and then start to rewrite it.

To put it bluntly… reading other people’s articles and taking notes is ‘research’.

You don’t need to do a lot of deep research because all of the information is there right in front of you in those articles which people are publishing for free.

Every day, you could quite easily read a few articles, and rewrite those articles and submit them to a website where people can buy them.

Rewriting just one article each week day would give you five ‘sellable’ products a week. That would give you 20 ‘sellable’ products each month.

Even if you made just £10 per article, that is an extra £200 a month from doing nothing more than ‘recycling and repackaging’ other people’s information.

You could write several and sell them as a content bundle.

I would suggest that you choose a topic or niche that you have an interest in or at least understand well and is quite popular, then focus on recreating content on what you read.

There is a saying in writing circles, ‘write to market’ and that means that you write about the things people want to read. In this case, you write what people want to buy.

As long as you are submitting articles which are clear, understandable, not plagiarised and in a niche that people want to buy, then I see no reason as to why you cannot make money this way.

It’s quite a simply process really…

Read > Write > Submit > Sell

It might be better to look at it this way…

Read + Write + Submit = Money

If you think that you are not very good at writing, let me just reassure you with one important fact, writers improve by doing these two things…

  1. Writing regularly
  2. Reading regularly

Writing improves when you spend time doing it. Reading helps you to understand sentence structure and flow.

With this business model, you do both daily.

You cannot but improve doing this.

And the great thing about this business model is that you can get started today.

You can apply for an account on Constant Content and start writing articles ready for when you are approved.

It may take up to five days for your account to be approved, but you can use that time to practice writing, read and research specific niches.

If however you are looking for a really simple way to make money which doesn’t require you to rewrite articles, then the Boss System might be better for you.

There are NO products to create… NOTHING to buy in… NOTHING to sell… NO promoting other people’s products… NO placing adverts on Facebook or other social media sites…or anywhere else.

You simply copy some text from one place, and then paste it in another.

  • How to bank unlimited £20-£750 payments by giving valuable stuff away for free (and have someone else pay for it!)
  • How to make money over and over again from the same thing without doing any extra work.
  • How to attract customers with something free and then have someone else pick up the tab!
  • How your ‘freebie takers’ will be turned into profit makers…while you sleep!

Sometimes Less Is More… Or As I Like To Put It ‘More Requires Less’

You may recall that in previous articles I have talked about the local tanning salon.

It seems just as things were going well, another hurdle has been thrown in front of them.

Thanks to the other tanning salon in the area closing due to the previous pandemic lockdowns, the tanning salon in question has had a huge influx of new customers.

To accommodate the new influx of customers the shop decided to open on Mondays – they were previously open Tuesday to Saturday – and take on another member of staff.

Being forced to open for longer and take on another staff member is a sure sign of growth, which is good.

To help pay for the additional staff costs they have put up their prices.

Unfortunately, they have had to put their prices up considerably to compensate not just for the additional staffing costs, but the fact that their monthly electricity bill has sky rocketed.

Something they – and everyone else in Britain – didn’t expect they would have to consider a couple of months ago.

I don’t know what their new monthly cost is but I do know that they were previously paying somewhere around £1,000 per month for their electricity.

Knowing that a lot of people are seeing price rises which have doubled, and in some cases trebled, I imagine that they are now seeing a hefty monthly bill.

And on top of that increase, they are now going to be using more electricity now that they have opened on Mondays.

The owner must be making money otherwise they would have closed the doors instead of looking to take on another staff member and open up for an extra day in the week.

It’s good that they are doing well.

But I have to ask… how well?

The overheads and the hassle involved seems like a lot to me.

There are so many other ways to make money which don’t require such a large outlay or the hassle of dealing with staff.

When you have staff, you need to pay wages, collect income tax, offer a pension, pay sick and holiday pay and have insurances.

Yes, I have staff, but I also employ someone to deal with that side of the business for me.

Depending on what the business is, there may be a lot of expensive equipment to pay for.

The tanning salon has several reconditioned sunbeds which cost between £7,000 and £8,000 each to buy.

Repairing them isn’t cheap either and that is a regular occurrence apparently.

Profits are going to be small in comparison to other businesses because of the amount of outlay.

For example, for the cost of one sunbed at £7,000, you could easily have a complete online business up and running making sales on autopilot.

That is just the price of the sunbed, I’ve not included the cost of renting a place to house it, the electrician required to fit it, insurances and other associated costs.

£7,000 is a lot to invest upfront on an online business.

Some people invest just a few hundred pounds and can start earning money.

For many people, it is the speed in which they can start earning money back.

A sunbed could start earning money the day it is delivered if there is an electrician to wire it in and if the locals know about it.

A sunbed will not earn money if no one knows that it is there to be used.

A full day of usage for one sunbed could earn between £250 and £350 depending on how long people use it for and if there is a constant stream of users.

An online business – depending on what type you start – may not earn anything on the first day.

Some do, but it is highly unlikely.

But when an online business starts earning money, it doesn’t rely on specific hours like an offline business.

Digital products can be bought and sold at any time of the day and night and not between the opening hours of nine and five.

I very often arrive at the office to find that I have earned more than an average day’s wage throughout the night.

Online businesses can have very little running costs, depending of course on what your online business is.

If you have a website which requires little bandwidth then your hosting fees can be minimal and if you do not require staff then your business can cost pennies to run compared to most businesses.

Online businesses can also sell for a lot of money too.

I recently told you about how a guy was building simple websites and selling them for £200 each to investors.

They were brand new websites not yet generating any income.

If you built an online business which was making money on autopilot requiring little actual work by a human, you should be able to sell it for a decent amount of money.

The simplest online businesses are those where you create a digital product like an eBook and sell it on a two page website.

The two pages required are the sales page and the download page where people access the eBook once they have paid.

Payment is processed automatically by a third party company who then direct the buyer to the download page and then pay you your money seven days later.

It is all done on autopilot.

You need not do anything as part of the sales process once everything is in place.

And the great thing about this kind of business is that you can set up one of these fully automated passive income systems in less than 30 days AND it will not cost you anywhere close to £7,000.

You could have a load of these income streams set up for a couple hundred pounds.

It’s All Getting On My Tits!

The world is a mess.

It’s never been perfectly harmonious or utopian but at the moment it seems to be a lot more of a mess than normal.

That global mess includes:

  • Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and the genocide of innocent people.
  • Party Gate and the Metropolitan police’s failure to properly investigate the Conservative’s law breaking and corruption.
  • The ridiculous and extortionate rising living costs.
  • Thousands of people dying from Covid each week and nothing being done about it.
  • Brexit fallout and hangover.
  • Rishi Sunak’s tax avoiding non dom wife.
  • Rishi Sunak raising taxes on the rest of us.
  • The Government spaffing £37 billion on the failed track and trace system (Did you know it cost NASA less than £3 billion to put a sophisticated remote science station on another planet 33.9 million miles away in space?!)
  • Russian financial bribery and influence in British politics.
  • Russian Oligarchs owning British papers feeding the public their pro-Putin propaganda.
  • Billions of Russian money laundered in London property.
  • MI5 showing concern that Boris Johnson was a security risk while he regularly partied with the son of a prominent Russian KGB officer.
  • A non-elected Russian born son of a prominent KGB officer being given a peerage.
  • Thousands of pigs being destroyed because there is not enough butchers to deal with the demand.
  • Crops left to rot in fields because there are not enough people to work the farms now that EU workers have returned home.
  • Long lorry queues across Kent and around Dover.
  • P&O illegally firing 800 workers.

There is so much bad stuff going on at the moment, frankly it’s getting on my TITS!

Which brings me nicely to GettingOnMyTits.com… this and GettingOnMyTits.co.uk are a couple of domain names that I had registered because I had the great idea for a website which would focus on the madness of the world around us.

The idea was that it would be a website moaning about the state of the world, politics and politicians.

I had the idea that it would be a bit like Ian Hislop and his Private Eye, targeting the current hypocrisy and factual inaccuracies of politicians and global events.

Add humour to the content and I can see a website like this doing really well.

The content would be short articles added regularly… maybe even daily.

There’ll never be a shortage of article ideas. There is a lot of bad stuff going on at the moment with plenty to talk about.

Once the website starts receiving a high volume of visitors, it could quite easily earn money by showing advertising using a network like Google AdSense or MediaVine.

Traffic would be sourced for free by growing Getting On My Tits! profiles on social media like Twitter and Facebook where the articles would be shared.

Getting On My Tits! merchandising could also be designed and sold via the website using print-on-demand companies like Redbubble.com

It might be possible to add a subscription side to the website where people pay you £5 to access your content. 100 people paying you £5 a month will give you £6,000 a year.

With literally billions of people online each day, finding 100 paying subscriber shouldn’t be that hard. It’s a possibility at least.

Once the website is earning a monthly income, it could then be sold on to a buyer who will pay 12… possible 24 times the monthly income… sometimes more!

ViralNova sold for $100 million! Not saying that this would sell for that amount, but it certainly has the potential to sell for several thousands if not tens of thousands.

Of course, what a website can sell for is determined by how much effort a person puts into it and how well the website is doing.

Once the website is earning £2,000 a month and had been earning it consistently for at least three months running, the website would be worth at least £24,000.

That wouldn’t be a bad payday for someone who was basically spending an hour or two a day ‘moaning’ and ‘complaining’ about the current state of the world would it?

The problem is that I do not have the time to start on this website.

My staff and I have enough to do as it is and so the website GettingOnMyTits! never got past the idea stage unfortunately… which is why I am putting both domain names up for sale.

This project really needs the attention and energy of someone who can spend time on it.

Websites do not become huge money earners overnight but give it at least a year and you should easily have your money back and a whole lot more.

As always, success is the result of putting in the right amount of time and doing the right stuff.

I see a lot of potential in this website because the topic is current and people love to moan and complain… and they love a giggle too.

Perhaps you might have a different and better angle for the GettingOnMyTits! website.

In a previous email I talked about paying writers £5 to publish content which they had to share with their following to send people to the website, maybe that model would work well with this website.

If you would like to own a website which I believe has the potential to grow into a big money spinner then please rsend us an email.

Please put I’m interested in purchasing your domains in the email title.

Both domains are for sale for £500. That’s both domains together.

Hosting for one website at Siteground would cost you £115 for two years at the popular discounted price.

So for £615 you can have a website with the potential to make a lot of money… and two years to make it happen.

If you are interested in this website for yourself, please know that once you have the website up and running, you are more than welcome to email our techy guy Andi with any questions you may have.

He will advise you on running and managing your website, or at least point you in the right direction where you can find the answers you need.

If the GettingOnMyTits! website idea is not for you, I have other domains for sale too which you can take a look at here: Domains For Sale.

You might find something in that list which you could turn into a profitable online business.

Kind Regards

John Harrison

PS… Remember hindsight?

That is where people say ‘if I started this two years ago, I’d be a very wealthy person by now!’

To prevent hindsight, start today on a project. If you do nothing, nothing happens and so if you want a successful money making website of your own, starting next year is no good, you need to start today.

As the saying goes: This time next year, you’ll be grateful you started today.

Using Radar To Make Money Trading Football Games

If you haven’t seen the film Castles in the Sky starring Eddie Izzard, I recommend you do.

It tells the remarkable story of the rush to invent radar during the days leading up to the Second World War.

After being asked by the Ministry of Defence his opinions on whether a death ray using radio was possible – he determined it wasn’t – Scottish radio physicist Robert Alexander Watson-Watt suggested that radio signals could be used to detect aircraft at long distances.

After making the suggestion Watson-Watt and his assistant Arnold Frederic ‘Skip’ Wilkins were asked by the Ministry of Defence to build a team of scientists and work on developing the system which could help protect Britain from the German Luftwaffe.

Information had reached the Ministry of Defence that Germany was preparing for war and possibly planning an attack on Britain. Intelligence photos showed that Germany was busy building a large fleet of bombers and fast fighter planes.

The German Luftwaffe’s fleet outnumbered the RAF 3 to 1.

Britain was busy building new Spitfires and Hurricanes as fast as it could but due to  the urgency of the situation, they needed something which would give the RAF the upper hand should Germany launch an attack.

Having a huge fleet of planes is meaningless if they are not in the air at the time of enemy attack.

Bombers travelling at 200 miles per hour could quite easily reach airfields without warning, drop their bombs and simply wipe out the RAF squadrons while they were sat waiting for the call.

Britain needed something which could detect the enemy before they reached British shores and give the RAF time to scramble their planes ready to meet the incoming Nazi fleet in the air.

Watson-Watt and his team of scientists worked around the clock to develop the protective ‘castle in the sky’ which became known as Chain Home.

It went into operation in 1938 and was instrumental in winning the war above England.

Before the war as part of his work at the Met Office Watson-Watt had already developed HFDF affectionately known as ‘huff-duff’ to accurately track down thunderstorms using radio signals.

Huff-duff was also used during World War II to track down enemy U-boats. It is believed that a quarter of the attacks on enemy U-boats used the huff-duff system.

Sir Robert Watson-Watt was given a knighthood in 1942 for his work and he was also awarded the US Medal for Merit in 1946 after going over to the US in 1941 to advise them on air defence after the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor.

The technology that Watson-Watt and his team developed paved the way for further advancements like the microwave oven.

Using Signals

Similar to how radar and huff-duff look out for specific signals and listen for the ‘pings’ to tell you that something is there for the taking, automated sports trading bots find football games to trade by looking for ‘signals’.

Automated sports trading bots connect to specific accounts and services and once programmed to do a specific task, they go trawling the global markets to find the right conditions and then place a trade on your behalf.

These trades then make money.

These bots work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year and instantly fire trades into the market as per your pre-programmed instructions.

Just imagine whilst you are tucked up in bed, watching television or enjoying a pint in the pub, your bot can be trading for you!

Your bot is programmed with instructions which effectively say ‘Look for this specific set of circumstances. When you find it, place a trade. Now wait for ‘x’ to happen and when it does, take the money and run!’

My good friend Paul Bent makes money each and every month using bots… it’s what he does and it’s what he knows.

He has kindly offered to share with you the system he uses to make £1,500+ each month using bots.

What’s more… he has agreed to offer this system at a heavily discounted price to the one previously advertised.

£136.53 For One Hours Work. Would You Say No?

Reading is an incredibly valuable thing to do.

Depending on what sort of thing you read, reading can open you up to so many money making opportunities and possibilities.

For example, last night I read a short article about a woman named Lori Ballen who made $178.75 in an hour… at time of writing this article that is £136.53 in real money.

Reading that article introduced me to a specific website where writers submit articles which if accepted, are then sold to people who need content for their website or email newsletters.

The website is called Constant Content and they are a marketplace website who take a (rather hefty) 35% cut of the sale price.

Yes, they make a lot of money off each sale, but they have a lot of high paying clients who are looking for quality content which means that a writer can open an account today, and if they pass the application process, they can submit work to be sold.

An approved writer can have content on the website ready to be bought today.

Lori wrote a 2,750 word article and charged ten US cents per word which is roughly seven pence per word.

The article sold for $275 (£210) which after Constant Content took their cut, she was left with $178.75 which is roughly £136 today.

Okay, it’s not good that she lost a large chunk of the money to the website owners, but there are a lot of benefits here:

  1. She made £136 for one hours work.
  2. She didn’t need to do any marketing or networking trying to find clients.
  3. She didn’t need to send hundreds of cold calling emails to companies to find work.
  4. She didn’t need to spend hours showcasing her talents on social media platforms to attract potential clients.
  5. She simply opened up her laptop, wrote an article, uploaded it to Constant Content and got paid when someone bought it.

Constant Content requires that you can write to a certain standard but you certainly don’t need a degree in English.

If writing is something you are good at or think you can be good at, give it a go. You could soon be earning a decent amount of money for your spare time.

You have nothing to lose.

Are Childhood Experiences Sabotaging Your Chances Of Success?

I caught a few minutes of You Are What You Eat the other day. It is a show which helps people change their eating habits and lose weight.

It’s not the type of show I would normally chose to watch and I probably won’t be rushing to watch it again… at least it is no longer hosted by that pretend doctor who always look poorly, Gillian McKeith.

The idea of being told that you are not likely to live long by a woman who looked like she was going to keel over any second always made me chuckle. The grim reaper looked healthier than Dr (not really a Dr) McKeith.

Anyway, I digress.

The new show is hosted by a respected television presenter Trisha Goddard and has a real fully qualified doctor Dr Amir Khan. Together they help people who have food and lifestyle issues.

On this particular show, a woman named Dawn asked for help with her diet.

She wasn’t overweight or eating a tonne of carb and sugar heavy fatty foods, Dawn was nibbling on pellets throughout the day and needed to relearn how to eat a proper full meal.

Her family were concerned that she was not eating enough of the right foods.

Throughout the day Dawn would nibble on popcorn and chocolate covered rasins… and that was about it.

The reason she doesn’t eat proper food or sit down to enjoy a full meal was very interesting to say the least.

And the reason I am sharing Dawn’s story with you is that I want people to realise that historical events and teachings can be holding you back today.

Things that happened in your childhood, things that you were taught and told many years ago could easily be affecting you today.

Meal Time Trauma

You see, when Dawn was a child, she lived with her mother and father and sister in the country. Her father worked away a lot and her mother was a very ferocious and formidable woman. You’d be right to say that she was a bully and abusive.

Because Dawn’s father spent most of the week away with work, Saturday night was the only time the whole family sat down to eat a meal.

But unfortunately, every week her mother and father began to argue. Dawn’s mother would get very loud, clear the plates away and send the girls to their rooms before they were able to finish eating. They were not allowed to take any food with them.

As Dawn told her story, it sounded like the girls hardly had any access to food. She recalled that her and her sister spent a lot of time outside away from their mother and while they were out, they would constantly graze on berries.

That was their main source of food.

As an adult, Dawn avoided meal times and hardly ate anything other than constantly grazing on small berry like foods.

Dawn had carried that behaviour over into adulthood.

Because meal times as a child were so traumatic and had left a powerful impression on her, her subconscious was driving her to avoid family meals and instead eat her ‘safety’ food alone which were berry sized nibbles.

This is a perfect example of how something which happened in the past, something that is completely no longer relevant today, is holding back a person from enjoying a normal and happy life.

Now this is a severe case, but don’t be fooled into thinking that it cannot or does not happen to you.

Many people are being run by old programming and haven’t realised it. You may be one of them.

That old programming could be holding you back from achieving so much more in life.

The programming could be a simple phrase or saying that a parent said to you over and over again.

‘I Want Never Gets’

I know a person who told me that when he was a child his mother said to him several times ‘I want never gets’, whenever he wanted something.

What is that saying to a young and impressionable mind?

What it’s saying is that you’ll never get what you want… so there’s no point in trying.

Another one of his mother’s favourite sayings was ‘where did I go wrong?’

She would say that when he did something she didn’t like or agree with, not necessarily when he did something bad or wrong.

Whenever he did something which was aligned with him and he was asserting his own uniqueness, if she didn’t like it, she would hit him with the ‘where did I go wrong?’ line quickly followed by ‘do what you want, you always do anyway.’

Those kind of constant messages break spirits and make a decent person feel that they are always doing something wrong and cannot do anything other than upset and displease people.

He said that in his mind, his mother was saying that she had done a bad job of bringing him up as a child and that he was a faulty human.

It took many years before he realised that those were her issues and not his and that he wasn’t actually a bad selfish person doing bad things, he was simply him doing what he wanted to do.

His mother didn’t like him doing what he wanted to do and that lack of control led to her trying to shame him into thinking he was a bad person for hurting his parents.

So not only was he being told that he would never get what he wanted, he was being told that he was a bad selfish person for trying to be who he was… no wonder he spent years not chasing any dreams or ambitions he had.

But here’s the thing… his mother had learned that behaviour from her parents.

She never stopped to question her programming or motives for doing and saying what she did.

What Past Experiences Are Holding You Back?

You may think that your own beliefs and actions are yours, but are they really?

Are you not doing something because of beliefs and ideas which have been programmed into you by others?

Are you too afraid to spend or invest money on something which could change your life for the better because of something you were told over and over again as a child?

Can you not be bothered to try and get something because you’ve been led to believe that you will never get it?

What you do and the way you look at the world is very often not actually of your own personal doing. More often or not, you are working on other people’s beliefs and ideas.

I could talk and write for hours about this topic. Success in life and in making money is amplified by having the right understanding and mindset.

I’m sure you have heard people use the phrases ‘wealth mindset’ or ‘poverty mindset’ or even ‘success mindset’, and as annoying it is to hear them being repeated over and over again… there is a truth there.

Successful and wealthy people do have a different mindset to those who are not successful or wealthy.

But here is the important thing to remember… you don’t have to be born with it. A successful and wealthy mindset can be cultivated.

Old programming and ideas can be overwritten with a new and empowering one.

To become wealthy, you need to think beyond wealth and understand how wealth works and how you work.

Can You Really Make £7,500+ Per Month Sharing Your Thoughts On Medium?

I was recently introduced to a website called Medium.com.

There are people who are making a great deal of money from this one website apparently.

And it is incredibly easy for anyone to get started with because there is…

  • No marketing involved.
  • No website to maintain.
  • No SEO traffic generation to figure out.
  • No running expensive adverts to find clients or customers.
  • No clients or customers to deal with.
  • No products to make – unless you choose to later.
  • Nothing to sell or send out.

This does require you to write short articles but don’t dismiss the idea just yet…

This is relatively easy and this could be a fantastic way for anyone to make money in their spare time.

The website is… how do I describe it?… a giant blog where the content is created by other people… and Medium pays those writers who publish a lot of great content.

Medium is a huge source of information covering almost every topic under the sun.

The website is clean and free from annoying adverts.

The content is easy to read because the website loading speed is not compromised by 3rd party adverts loading and the content is not obscured by pop-up adverts.

Because of this, a lot of people use the website. Roughly 60 million people actively use Medium every month.

It’s so popular even big names like Barack Obama publish to Medium every now and then.

You can use the website for free or you can pay a small monthly or annual fee to get full access.

The monthly fee is only $5 a month which is less than £4 currently. If you pay for the year upfront, you get a discount and pay less than £40.

People who use the free version are limited to what they can read. The majority of the best content is locked behind the pay wall.

Which is understandable when you consider that the writers get paid when people read their content and subscribe via their referral link; they want you to join so that they can earn money.

And earn money they do… quite a lot of it too.

There are people who earn several thousand pounds each month by simply sharing their content on Medium.

Blogging In 2022

Starting your own blog was a big way to make money many years ago – and still can be today – but some people are now saying that the potential to earn money on Medium is that good, that you should forget having your own blog and simply start writing on Medium.

As with all things in life, if you start something and then stop, you will not achieve the results you desire. It’s the same when using Medium.

A simple strategy can have you earning money from Medium, but you need to implement it and stick with it… at least for the short term.

Some content creators now earn money passively from their content when they take time away from Medium.

Make Money Using Medium

To make money publishing content to Medium you need to open up a profile first.

Once you have your profile, you can start adding content to the website.

To make this work you need to write and publish articles – called Stories – to Medium regularly.

Writing one article a day or every other day really isn’t that hard.

An article can take as little as ten minutes to write or maybe an hour depending on how long and detailed it is.

Set yourself a challenge such as write and publish one article a day for 30 days to help you get into the swing of it. Once the 30 days are over, start again or adopt a strategy where you continue to write regularly.

You cannot earn any money until you join the Medium Partner Programme and you cannot join that programme until you have at least 100 followers.

You need to have followers and that is probably the only obstacle of the whole business model… but that is easily over come. It may be a little time consuming in the beginning but don’t let that put you off.

I recently read how one woman amassed 300 followers in a couple of days by spending a few hours each day commenting on and ‘Clapping’ – their term for ‘Liking’ – other people’s content.

She opened up conversations with people.

By doing this she had people going and checking out her profile resulting in them reading a few of her ‘stories’ and then hitting the ‘Follow’ button.

Within a couple of days of starting her campaign of commenting on other people’s content, she had all the followers she needed to join the partner programme.

Publish Fresh Content Regularly

If you write and publish one article each weekday, you will have published 260 articles over a year. That is 260 articles online which people can read… 260 articles which can earn you money.

If an article goes viral and is read by a lot of people, then you will make more money.

Obviously, whether an article goes viral or not is largely down to the nature of the content and how it is received by readers. Good quality content which is actually useful will be received better than something that doesn’t actually say anything.

Headlines are also important. Good headlines draw people in. A good headline – one which ignites excitement and/or curiosity – will help you generate more reads than a boring headline.

Writing and publishing content to Medium is a lot easier than you think.

As long as you do not write about anything that is hateful, disrespectful or downright nasty, Medium allows you to write about virtually anything and everything.

You could simply start writing about your thoughts about the world we live in and use Medium as a thought dump if you so wished.

I recommend that you write your article in MS Word or Google Docs and then simple copy and paste the content over to Medium.

Make any formatting changes that you need, add a picture (Medium connects to Unsplash photo-stock website so choosing a picture is easy), choose the relevant tags and then hit publish.

It really is simple.

A Perfect Simple Second Income System

I think this could be a great side income stream for anyone who either enjoys writing, or who has plenty of time on their hands and isn’t afraid to get stuck in and write one article a day.

Because of the money which writers can earn, some writers sit and churn out several articles a day and keep publishing new content.

For them it is a simple business model.

They write what they want and when they want.

There is no marketing to do, no running of expensive adverts or trying to figure out SEO to get people to your website to see your content or products.

There is no website to maintain or products to create and manage.

With this you simply…

Write and publish… write and publish… write and publish…

And allow Medium to do the rest.

If one article is seen on average by 10 people, then one article is not going to make a lot of money… but if you publish 1,000 articles, now you are being seen thousands of times.

People who read and like one article are more likely to read more by the same person so publishing as many articles as you can on a website like Medium makes sense.

Many writers who publish to Medium also share the same content on other similar websites like Vocal.com – who also pay writers like Medium – to get double exposure.

More exposure means more earnings.

The money doesn’t just come from the reads on Medium itself. Many writers have landed paying clients after publishing their content.

One woman landed a £50,000 writing deal after she published a short 800 word fictional story which a clothes brand wanted to use as part of their marketing campaign.

Sometimes the biggest changes to a person’s life and circumstances come from simply being ‘seen’ and publishing regular content online is a great way to be seen.

5 Ways To Find Freedom As A Paid Writer

How One Man Made £7,000 Using Just Facebook Marketplace

I recently spoke with a close friend about the various ways to make extra money online.

We were discussing simple ways to make money which didn’t require too much work both physically or mentally.

The average person is looking for a way to make ‘extra’ money on top of what they already have coming in. they don’t want to do something which takes up a lot of time or requires a lot of work.

My friend, also called John, told me about a friend of his who made £7,000 buying and selling golf clubs using Facebook Marketplace.

He obviously knew a thing about golf clubs because he would buy them when he saw them listed on Facebook Marketplace, get them home, give them a polish then relist them back on Marketplace for more than what he paid for them.

Basically he was flipping them for a profit.

He was buying them cheap and selling them on for a profit.

He had to do a bit of driving about fetching golf clubs and possibly delivering them but that little side hustle of his made £7,000 over a year.

That’s not bad is it really?

Where most people do nothing once the day job has finished, this chap was flipping golf clubs earning him enough to pay for several decent holidays, or pay a large chunk of his rent or mortgage for the year.

What struck me about this idea is that he focused on just one item.

Golf clubs.

By sticking to one item, it kept things simple for him.

Golf is a popular sport and I guess a lot of people are buying and selling clubs so this guy was able to slip between the two sets of people and make a profit.

You may not find a product where you can focus on one specific item like golf clubs, but you may find items in one specific niche or industry such as power tools, or footwear.

Focusing on just the one or few items in a specific niche or industry means that you can learn more about those products and understand better how much you need to buy for and how much you can ask for when selling them on to other people.

There are people who go to charity shops and buy just shoes and sell them online for a profit.

I’m not going to suggest that you do that because there is a lot of time and effort involved with sourcing items from charity shops, selling them and posting them to people.

Unless you’re looking for expensive fashion brands going cheap, the profit you get back from them will be small.

Golf clubs are often sold by people who want to clear out or swap their old set for a new set and often want them gone so they may be sold off cheap.

I imagine that it is easier to add a nice profit on golf clubs than it is to a pair of cheap shoes.

The main point is that this guy made £7,000 in a year specifically selling one item on a free social media platform.

If he can do it, so can many others, including you…. If you want to that is.

The only problem I see with this method to make money is your present location.

The guy selling golf clubs lived somewhere around Southampton which has a population of over 254,000 and that probably doesn’t include all of the large towns and villages close by.

There were a lot of people with access to Facebook Marketplace to which he could buy from and sell to.

This may not work so well if you live in a quiet village in the middle of nowhere.

The question is… what did he do with his £7,000?

With it being an extra income, I hope he used it as leverage and tried to double it.

Unfortunately, he might be forced to use it on gas and electricity with the way the world is at the moment.

Hopefully not though.

If he can buy more golf clubs with that £7,000 and sell them to make £14,000, that would be great, but he can only buy second hand golf clubs when they come up for sale.

He could always buy more directly from a supplier to sell but the market he is covering is second hand used golf clubs so people may not buy new clubs from a guy who cannot offer next day delivery or a refund guarantee like retailers do unless he offers a ridiculous discount which will eat into any potential profits.

He could use the money to buy direct from a supplier and set up a website to sell the new clubs from, but that is a whole new ball game with a lot of extra work to consider.

Could he buy a few items that are not golf clubs which cost £1,000 each and sell them for £2,000 each?

If he could do that, it would take seven sales to turn £7,000 into £14,000.

Focusing on one item is a great place to start and if there is enough demand and product available you can carry on growing your income.

But if supply and demand is low, then it may be worth looking for other items to sell.

£7,000 extra income flipping used golf clubs on a free social media platform is impressive.

I believe that there are items which you can buy cheaply and flip for a profit using the same platform or utilise several other platforms.

You could buy from Facebook Marketplace and then list them on Gumtree or vice versa… or on both.

When people make some extra money, they automatically use it on ‘life stuff’, which is understandable. A lot of people need extra money and that is why they look for a way to make it.

But if they could just hold back and use the money they make to make more by investing it in other products or projects; that money could soon amplify into a whole lot more.

Starting with just £100, it takes only 14 doublings to make £1.6 million.

Using a plan and the correct approach, anyone can turn £100 into £1.6 million.

The reason a lot of people don’t try to turn £100 into £1.6 million is that they don’t understand that it is possible or how to actually do it.

It is a simple process… but without a plan or the correct guidance, most people don’t know where to start or how to go about it right.

But… as I say, it is doable.

People can take £100 and turn it into £1.6 million.

Obviously, each person’s time frame will be different.

Some people may choose to stop doubling when they hit £500,000.

For others, it may be less. It depends on what people are happy with.

What results you achieve will be down to your efforts, choices and circumstance… but the plan is still the same and workable for everyone.

Start with £100 and keep doubling it until you hit £1.6 million… or whatever figure you are happy with.

We know it works because several people have done it including our good friend Barry Tyler.

If you would like to know what Barry did to double his way to over a million, he will show you here:

Double Your Way To A Million

Kind Regards.

John Harrison

  1. Barry gives you both the PLAN and the GUIDANCE that you need to double your way from £100 to £1.6 million.

Double Your Way To A Million

Make Money Selling Pointless Products

There are millions of pointless products available to buy. And they really are pointless.

Fun? Yes.

Useful? No

A prime example of a pointless product is hats for dogs.

In fact there is a whole range of clothing for cats and dogs which are at best… completely pointless.

The other day I saw someone on Instagram share a picture of ‘leggings’ they had bought for their Dachshund.

Someone somewhere had made four little cloth tubes the size of a thumb, attached them to a piece of card with a bit of wording and graphics and then sold them to people who for some strange reason, wants to put them on their dog.

There are a few items I get.

Dogs need walking and sometimes the weather or terrain is terrible and so a rain mac to stop them getting too wet or boots to protect their feet I can accept to some degree.

But dogs do not need ‘Peaky Blinders’ style hats or waist coats. Nor do they need superhero costumes or slippers.

Yet people buy those kinds of products regularly.

I remember watching a show about people being rushed to hospital. One of the women who had been taken to A&E was suffering from a sever swelling to the side of her face.

The reason her face was swelling was from an allergic reaction to a toxin which was under her cats claws. Her cat, who was not aggressive in nature and had never lashed out to her before, had scratched her hard across her face because it didn’t want to be put in a jumper.

This woman had bought a woolly jumper for her cat and tried to put her cat into it.

The cat was having none of it and lashed out at her resulting in the allergic reaction and the woman being rushed to hospital.

I remember thinking, ‘what did you expect was going to happen?’

There are literally thousands upon thousands of pet owners who will buy these fun and pointless products.

There is a lot of money to be made in pointless items.

Who remembers the Pet Rock from 1975?

A stone was placed into a custom carboard box which had air holes and straw and sold as a ‘live pet’. … I kid you not.

They sold over a million at $4 each making Gary Dahl, an advertising executive from California, a millionaire.

It’s a bit of fun… but completely useless.

A simple idea can make a lot of money.

Even ideas which really shouldn’t work can make a lot of money.

If you came to me and said that you wanted to sell a rock in a box and pretend that it was a live pet, I would think you were off your medication… yet millions of people bought it.

If you told me you wanted to make and sell leggings for Dachshunds, the dog with the shortest legs on the planet, I might have said that you were wasting your time… but people do buy them.

One of my favour pointless products is the plots of land on the Moon.

That’s right, some people are actually selling – non legally binding – plots of land on the Moon.

Depending on who you buy from, a lunar acre can cost between £15.99 and £88.90. One website offers deals, if you buy 3 acres it will cost you £80 per acre and 5 acres will cost you £75.56 per acre.

Sounds like a real bargain!

If there’s anything I want more than one useless acre of land on the moon which I cannot visit or do anything with… is to have several acres.

Utterly utterly pointless… but people spend money on these kinds of products.

Why?

For fun… and for gifts.

People love to buy friends and family fun gifts. I can’t imagine that I would buy anyone an acre of moon land for fun but that’s just me. I’m not weird.

The question is… is there something pointless that you can make and sell which could be your big money spinner?

You just might be surprised at what people will buy.

If creating and selling products of your own isn’t for you, maybe you should take a look at what Gary McCall does to make between £1,500 and £2,200 per month.

Gary has become the go-to expert in a relatively unknown yet incredibly simple method to make money where he simply copies text from one place and pastes it in another.

It’s a simple process anyone can do.

There’s NO product to create… NOTHING to buy in… NOTHING to sell… NO promoting other people’s products… NO placing adverts on Facebook or other social media sites…or anywhere else!

There’s NO betting, gambling or financial trading involved either. In fact, it’s totally risk free… You won’t risk or spend any money by giving it a try.
