If You Do Nothing, Nothing Changes!

Sometimes, I just don’t know what to say.

People buy products and services which they believe (or hope) will make them a lot of money, but don’t actually do anything with what they have bought.

A perfect example of this is someone that I recently saw on Facebook share the fact that they had bought into a specific business opportunity that came with training on how to use social media to make sales…

And since then they have done nothing more than share funny pictures or make (factually incorrect) political and religious statements.

They even shared posts asking for suggestions as what to do on their days off from work.

I don’t know about you, but I would have thought spending time on the new business opportunity you had invested a considerable amount of money on would be the first thing on your mind when you had a spare day or two.

Surely, you would want to get your investment money back as quick as possible, wouldn’t you?

The only way to do that would be to get stuck in and work on your new business venture.

You can’t buy a bread making machine and expect to have fresh bread each morning if you don’t even take it out of the box.

Even then, you still need to do more than take it out of the box, stick on the shelf, and plug it in. That’s just setting it up ready to work with.

You still need to actively do some work to make the bread.

Still, what people do no longer surprises me.

People will spend a lot of money on products and services which they think will solve their problem of not having enough money… but as soon as they need to do something, they don’t bother.

Why spend the money in the first place if you do not intend to do the work required?

The problem is that a lot of people want someone else to do the work for them or for it to all work on autopilot as soon as everything is plugged in.

Unfortunately, that is rarely going to happen.

The way to make things work is to consistently work at them and do what is required each and every day.

If you buy the resale license to a product along with the training on how to sell it, you should get right into the training and each day do what you are shown to do.

You simply cannot buy something and then carry on as before while expecting money to flood your bank account.

As the saying goes, if you do nothing, nothing changes.

You have to do something to make the changes you want and expect to see.

Just buying a product or service is simply not good enough.

You need to do something to make those products or services work for you.

Like the bread maker machine, you can have the best tools and services to hand, but if you don’t use them or work with them, you cannot enjoy what they can give you.

Kind regards

John Harrison

The Z15 Profit System

She Earns Money Doing What, Now?

Never let it be said that there are never any easy opportunities to make money.

This weekend I learned that a woman here in the UK was hiring herself out for ‘cuddles’ at a price of £70 an hour.

Yes… you read that right.

Apparently it is only cuddles before you start wondering if other things are on offer.

She appeared on ITV’s This Morning show recently talking about how people come to her for cuddles.

Cuddling releases happy chemicals and they can really help people who are feeling sad, lonely, and depressed.

She starts by sitting down with the ‘cuddle client’ and talking about anything that is troubling them.

It gives them the opportunity to get things off their chest before lying down on the floor and snuggling up to hers.

They then spend the rest of the hour lying on the floor cuddling.

It’s a bizarre job indeed.

I cannot say how popular it is as I didn’t see the interview on This Morning, but if she has at least two ‘cuddle clients’ each day (Mon to Fri), she would be earning a decent £2,800 per month.

That’s not too bad for simply talking and cuddling with people.

Humans need to cuddle, it is good for their health and wellness, and so it could be possible that she has a steady flow of clients.

With depression being at epidemic levels in the UK, there could be many people looking for something as simple as a cuddle.

Depression can be a symptom of isolation and loneliness and so I guess there could be a large number of people who don’t have anyone to turn to for a cuddle and so they may be willing to pay for an hour long cuddling session.

I can’t believe that I am actually writing about this!

I’m not saying that this is something that you should consider doing, but I do want you to realise that there are services people will pay for that are yet to be offered… or yet offered by a lot of people.

If one woman is offering hour long cuddle sessions for £70, I’m pretty sure it could be repeated elsewhere in the country.

From what I understand, it is a pretty new concept and so if there is a big enough demand for it, other people could make it work, too.

So, like I say… this may not be for you, but there may be other ‘similar’ services that you can offer.

A perfect example of a service that I think a lot of people could offer is ‘silent listening’ where they listen without judgement or opinion as people unload their troubles and concerns.

There are a lot of people who want to be ‘heard’ and need to get things off their chests, and they are not necessarily looking for advice.

They just want to talk and have someone listen.

Think of it as a modern-day version of the Catholic confession.

Instead of going into a small wooden box in a cold stone church, they simply sit in a comfortable chair in a small room, or have a face-to-face meeting online using Skype or Zoom, and pour their hearts out.

In Japan, there are people who are paid to mourn and cry at funerals, and… this one is even stranger… overweight people can be ‘rented’ to join people for a meal.

I know!

Other than sumo wrestlers who choose to be overweight for their sport, being overweight is not common in Japan.

In fact; it is illegal for companies to allow their staff to become overweight.

I kid you not!

Big companies in Japan can be fined if any of their staff becomes overweight.

I believe most Japanese people haven’t seen an obese person in real life, and because of that, some overweight people hire themselves out to be special guests at meals where people ask them questions and… I guess… laugh at them.

I hope the money is good because I can’t image the meal would be anything more than emotionally painful and awkward.

Some of the things that happen in Japan are a little perplexing, but again, it shows that some people will pay others to do something that basically involves nothing more than talking, listening, or just being present.

So the question is this…

Is there something that you can do where you either listen or speak to people in exchange for a fee?

Counselling is big business, but with the idea of ‘silent listening’, there is no need for qualifications and years of study because all you need to do is offer a service where you simply listen and do nothing else.

There is no need to give advice or give opinions unless they are asked for, and then I suggest that you simply say “I am only here to listen”… you might want to throw in a quick cuddle as part of the service!

Even if you charged as little as £10 to spend half an hour listening to someone, you are being paid to simply sit and listen.

Of course, everything has to be confidential. You cannot go sharing people’s stories or confessions all across social media the next day.

I think this idea has legs, so could you be the one to run with this?

Customers could easily be found using free-to-use social media platforms such as Facebook, Tiktok, X (Formerly Twitter), YouTube, and Instagram.

A simple one or two page website can easily be cobbled together to accept payment and book sessions… that’s about it.

In the video below, you will see how easy and fast it can be to build a website without actually knowing anything about building websites:

PS…The truth is, you can have your website up and running within an hour or two, and you do not need any complicated sales funnels or tech.

A simple one page with a few lines of text and a button connected to a booking app like Calendly is all that you need to run a business where you sit and listen to people talk.

Well… Labour It Is Then. Did You See It Coming?

Well what can I say?

It has been an eventful 24 hours.

The UK now has a new government.

Labour won the General Election yesterday, 4th of July.

Question is this…

Is this Independence Day for Britain as 14 years of Conservative rule comes to a crashing end?

There were many surprises with independents winning more seats than ever, the Greens winning 4 seats, and the newly formed Reform also winning 4 seats.

And after 8 years of trying – and let’s be honest, he is a trying person, Nigel Farage has won himself a seat in Westminster.

It would probably be better for the British economy if instead we all chipped in and bought him a comfy seat from IKEA to sit on while at the beach boat spotting and flag waving.

Still, once the people of Clacton start talking to him about roundabouts, swimming pools, bin collections, traffic lights, and dog faeces on pavements, he’ll no doubt be hot-footing it out of the area.

Whatever your political allegiances or ideologies are, it is an interesting time for British politics right now.

Many now fear that the new Labour government will be increasing taxes to pay for the reforms they wish to make.

I cannot predict what is going to happen over the next five years, but what I can say is this…

It you are one of those who fear that they are about to be taxed more, maybe it is time to do something that gives you your tax money back?

It’s a sad fact of society that every time you try to earn more money to cover the tax you have paid, you pay tax on that new money.

It just goes on and on and on and on.

Earn money > pay tax.

Earn more money > pay more tax.

Earn even more money > pay even more tax.

There is an alternative…

To make money using a method that is considered as ‘winning’ money.

Winning money implies that it is a game of chance and that you run the risk of losing money, which is true…

But when you know what you are doing, you win more than you lose meaning that you can make a lot of money… which is tax-free!

Imagine making money each and every week that none of the political parties can get their hands on.

Sounds good, yes?

Well, if you would like to make between £750 and £1,725 tax-free every month, CLICK HERE.

Our good friend Kate Davis will show you how she makes extra money each morning using just her phone while working out in her home gym while she does it.

Kate trades the markets and keeps an eye on them while on the treadmill, or between exercises.

She does have a day job that she enjoys, but she doesn’t need to work because she makes between £750 and £1,725 every month doing this.

She can easily bank more than a day’s wage before leaving the house for work.

This is just a hobby to Kate, a hobby which can make her more money in half an hour than what most people earn working a full day.

Kate wanted to share her success with others and so she approached us here at Streetwise and asked if we could publish her manual which outlines in great detail everything she does each morning that bags her an extra £750£1,725 each month.

Remember, she makes that money in the morning before going to work!

That is £750£1,725 EXTRA each and every month which is also TAX FREE!

Of All The Things People Rent… Why Aren’t More People Renting This?

It’s no secret that we have made a lot of money over the years with direct mail – sending mail through the post to potential customers.

It has changed over the years but it is still an incredibly lucrative business to get involved with.

Sadly, it isn’t as easy as it once was.

GDPR and stricter privacy laws have made renting mailing lists more difficult than it used to be…

But there is a workaround that works brilliantly for promoting products (yours or affiliates), and for building your own email lists.

It actually amazes me how few people know about this newer workaround. It is also ideal for people just starting out who have a small budget and are short on time.

Instead of renting mailing lists and sending out physical sales letters like many people did in the past – we still do but only to our own list, you now rent an email list and send a series of emails.

You don’t actually get sent the email addresses and email them yourself; you pay the owner of the email list to send an email to their list with your information and details.

What sort of email is sent differs from person to person.

Some will allow you to write the email, others will write it in their own voice to match what the audience is used to.

Some may add a small paragraph with your link at the end of their email or newsletter; others will allow you to exclusively send a full email.

Different email list owners will allow you to do different things.

What is good about this is that you can send emails to large lists of people who could be interested in what you have to sell.

Obviously, this is going to cost money, but you can start small and pay for a smaller amount of ‘clicks’.

Usually, you pay for a specific number of ‘clicks’ you get. This is people ‘clicking’ your link and visiting your webpage.

Clicks are not sales, they are just clicks on your link. This is something that people need to remember.

It is possible that you could pay for a specific number of clicks and not make any sales and so you may considered it to be a waste of money.

However…

You also have to consider the following…

  • If someone has joined your email list because of that solo email ad, then sales may come later in the follow-up emails you send to your list. When that happens, it is not wasted money.

  • Some people do not aim to make sales at the beginning and simply use other people’s email lists to grow their own list by giving away a product for free.

  • The list may not have been the best for you at that time, other lists may perform a lot better and so you should never judge future outcomes of email lists on previous results gained from using other different lists.

  • If you are selling or promoting high ticket programmes and products you will probably only need one sale to earn back the cost of the solo ad and as stated in the first point, those sales can come later.

Yes, it is nice to make sales that cover the cost of the solo ad, and you should consider building a ‘break-even’ funnel which will earn money to cover the costs of running the ads meaning that it is free traffic and that you can run solo ad campaigns indefinitely…

But your focus should always be to build an email list.

A list of ‘buyers’ is always going to be a better list than a list of ‘potential’ buyers, but if you do not yet have a product to sell, just aim to build a decent sized email list.

Email list owners who are willing to rent their email lists can be found in many places online.

There are dedicated market places for buying and selling solo ads such as 10DollarSoloAds, Udimi, and SoloAdHub.

You can also find people on Fiverr and Facebook selling solo ad services.

There are plenty of people renting out email lists in many different niches, finding the right ones for you could be the tricky part.

But, as with all businesses, there are costs and expenses and this is one of those costs. To grow your email list, you need to spend money.

Yes, there are a few methods to grow your email list for free, but they can be quite slow.

Paid methods always reap rewards faster than free methods.

As Dan Kennedy famously said:

“Whoever can spend the most money to acquire a customer wins.”

That can mean a couple of things such as:

The person or company with the biggest advertising budget will gain the biggest and best following which result in them taking the lion’s share of the market and make the most money.

And it can also mean that the more you spend to acquire each new customer means that the customer is of a better class of buyer and could be worth more money to you in the future.

Spending money to make money is the best way forward.

Streetwise Publications isn’t where it is today without spending money, placing adverts, renting lists, and sending mailings.

The truth is this… the people and companies with the biggest number of followers usually make the most money…

And those with the biggest advertising budgets can grow the biggest followings fast… so with that in mind, spending money to build an email list is a good move.

The main benefit of solo ads over other paid traffic like using Facebook ads is that you don’t run the risk of getting your account shut down.

Facebook can be a beast and has been known to close down people’s advertising accounts without warning or giving any clear reasons why.

Very often they can disable accounts after they have approved ads to run on their platform.

For some reason they change their minds and then hit you with a T&Cs ‘violation’ and disable your account… even though they approved the ads that they now disapprove of!

This happened to us a few years ago… and it is incredibly frustrating!

With solo ads, that is never going to happen because you talk with the list owner before the email is sent. They will approve your email or content and then send it at the agreed time.

With so many people willing to rent their email lists, you will never be short of people to use.

If one email list failed to deliver, you move onto another.

The fears associated with solo ads for most people are:

  1. It can be costly, especially if an email failed to deliver the results expected.
  2. You don’t know how trustworthy list owners can be.

I’m sure there are some people who will pose as solo ad vendors and will take payment to send emails to a poor non-responsive email list which they knew was dead.

These people are more likely to approach you and offer their services.

For example, here are a few screenshots of a conversation we had with a solo ad vendor in Facebook messenger:

I cannot say whether you should buy from people who approach you on social media without getting to know them better, but I don’t recommend it.

We certainly didn’t buy from this chap.

We don’t know him from Adam and it kind of feels like buying a bottle of cheap label-free beer from a tramp in an alley behind a popular well-established pub.

You just wouldn’t, would you?

It would be foolish to buy dodgy unknown beer from a tramp when there is a good pub selling quality beer that you know came from a real brewery just a few feet away.

It’s the same with solo ads, there are good market places that are just a few ‘clicks’ away and they have trusted vendors.

I recommend that you go to one of the big platforms and buy through them as they are more regulated and they often have an inbuilt review system which will give you a better idea as to how good someone and their lists are.

So why should you use solo ads to build an email list?

An email list means that you can sell products and services to people as and when you want.

It takes as little as five minutes to write an email, although the ones I send you take a little longer and that is mainly because I tend to have a lot more I want to say and share.

But here’s the thing… when you have a decent sized list, you can slow down to the point where you just need to write an email a day and the rest of the day is yours to do as you please.

PS… A quick email writing tip for you… use real life stories and talk about real life events as they help to align people with you. Emails are as much about nurturing a relationship with the readers as it is about selling products.

Remember, no one likes being sold to all the time, especially if nothing else is being shared.

£2,000 Per Month Increase In Expenses…Could You Cope?

This week I caught the end of an episode of the Hotel Inspector where Alex Polizzi goes into hotels (and now other businesses) to help them when they are struggling.

In this episode, Alex was revisiting The Dukes, a country pub and hotel in Bedfordshire, that she had helped previously in 2019.

The owner, Sarah, had been struggling to keep the place afloat and it was made harder by the fact that her husband had decided to leave her less than two years into buying the business together.

They had borrowed close to half a million to buy the business, and then he decided that he wanted out and ran leaving her to deal with the business and their two daughters alone.

To say that she was drowning was an understatement.

Anyway, Alex arrived, waved her magic hotel wand and helped her to regain her confidence and turn the business around.

Four years later, Alex decided to visit The Dukes to see how Sarah was getting on.

Let’s just say that she was managing OK.

She wasn’t struggling like she was four years ago, she had survived the pandemic but sadly the business was now taking a bit of hit thanks to the recent cost-of-living crisis.

What hit me was that through no fault of her own, Sarah’s monthly expenses had increased by £2,000.

Prices had increased on gas and electricity, food and drink, and other services. Her monthly expenses were now at £7,000.

Passing these price increases on to the customer was near impossible without causing harm to her business.

With a lot of completion in the area, increasing room prices always resulted in a drop in occupancy rates.

I cannot remember what advice Alex dished out in response to the increase expenses, I am sure it was good and that she helped Sarah get out of a hole.

I probably tuned out as I was too busy thinking ‘why would you want to give yourself such a hard, costly, and labour-intensive job as a way to make money?’

There are many different ways to make money that doesn’t require such an expensive or time-consuming commitment.

At one point, Sarah was taking breakfast orders, cooking the breakfasts, waiting on the tables, and then she was doing it all again at lunch and dinner time.

And that was on top of her other daily duties!

The problem is that most people have a romanticised idea of what certain work is like. They fall in love with the idea and that completely blinds them to the reality of what work is really involved.

Many people want to do a specific job because of ego. They love the idea of being ‘something specific’ and being able to tell others what it is that they do.

They approach it like it is a fun hobby and then suddenly realise that they have bitten off more than they can chew when they start to drown in work and debt.

If it’s more money and more freedom that you want to enjoy, giving yourself a lot of work is not the right way to go.

Over the last few months I have spoken about people who are making tens of thousands of pounds selling products and services on social media platforms such as Facebook, this is a far easier way to make money than running your own restaurant and hotel.

However… like all businesses, there is a fair amount to learn and a fair amount of trial and error needed.

You still need to ‘cut your teeth’ and master a set of skills, but, it is far less strenuous than running a restaurant and hotel.

Personally, I would not focus on any social media platform alone. It would be foolish to put all your efforts on a social media platform without building an email list at the same time.

You MUST build an email list while sharing content on Facebook or any other social media platform.

The email list is where the money is… I am not saying this from a point of theory; this is real life experience… this is my experience.

I have been using emails to make money for over two decades.

I talk more about them both here:

University = £75,000 Debt With Nothing To Show For It!

I observed an interesting online conversation the other day.

One guy, an internet marketer who I shall call Bob, was saying that the biggest scam of all time is ‘going to university’.

The other guy, I’ll call him Ted, was saying that this was not true and that many of the advancements we see in technology, health, and society as a whole are often made by highly intelligent people who went to university.

Ted asked Bob “what about AI tools?”

Bob replied with, “I use AI all the time. It’s easy to use and anyone can use it, what’s your point?”

Ted replied with, “you might find it easy to use, but you didn’t develop them. The AI tools you use are developed by incredibly brainy people who have been to university and studied computer sciences, physics and all those kinds of fun things”.

Ted has a point, Facebook and Google were both created by people who went to university and who are pretty big in the brains department.

But so does Bob, for a lot of people, going to university is a complete waste of their time, and it leaves them with big debts.

Only the other day I was told about a woman who went to one of the universities in Sheffield. She has just recently started paying her student load back at £10 a month.

When she graduated, her student debt was just under £62,000, but thanks to interest and increasing interest rates, her debt now stands at just over £75,000!

The debt has increased by over £13,000 in the last 5 years!

There is no way she will pay that off at just £10 per month.

I’m pretty sure she isn’t rushing to pay it off and is banking on the debt being written-off by the government one day.

Had she taken out a £75,000 mortgage on a home, at least she would have something to sell to pay off the debt and maybe even make a profit.

Currently, she is working a job earning slightly under the average UK salary. Let’s just say… she isn’t banking big bucks!

Bob was trying to say that going to university is not a good idea if all you want to do is make money, and I agree with this.

A lot of wealthy people didn’t go to university, many didn’t even finish school!

scroll down to carry on reading

FREE Blueprint & Video Tutorial - Request Your Instant Online Access Now!

Going to university is not a guarantee of financial success, especially when you consider that there are many tin pot universities today (previously known as polytechnics) running seriously lame courses that just don’t make any sense.

Some courses are nothing more than ‘follies’ where people go and learn a silly subject like ‘how to speak Klingon’ (probably) just for fun.

Also, many universities run courses knowing full well that there are not enough job placements for the people they are educating.

Their focus is to fill spots and get paid.

They may be ‘excellent’ centres of learning and education, but they are no different to businesses.

If they don’t get enough people on their courses, they don’t get paid by either the government or by students.

It’s all about the money… it always is.

I know what Bob was doing; he was trying to get people to buy his products and courses and was making a case as to why going to university isn’t the right way to go for those who simply want to make a lot of money… and he is right.

If you want to specialise in something like medical science or AI, then yes, you will need to go to university, and yes, it is possible that you may develop something that could make you very wealthy in the future, but that isn’t for everyone.

If you simply want to make a lot of money, there are many ways to do that without having to go to university in the hope that you can land a high-paying job.

Starting your own business is a great way to become incredibly wealthy.

A business is a vehicle to wealth.

Starting your own business might sound daunting, but like everything in life, when you know what to do and how to do it; you are in a position of power.

You can control the outcome when you know what to do and how to do it!

And as with everything in life, you can easily learn how to start a successful business.

Universities are not the only places of learning.

You can learn all that you need to know to become wealthy from the comfort of your own home, and that was what Bob was trying to get across.

Self-education is the best way for most people.

Self-education is where you look for the information you want and need – that can be in the form of eBooks, video training, and online courses, and you study it at home in your own time.

It is also a hell of a lot cheaper than going to university.

I was recently checking out an online course that was priced at £3,000.

At first glance, that may seem pricy to most people, but it is nothing compared to the $75,000 student debt I was telling you about earlier.

£3,000 is a small price to pay for what I would learn and how much money I could make from the knowledge gained.

And that is exactly what Bob was talking about.

Why go to university to study something that is not guaranteed to land you a high-paying job, and will leave you with a huge debt that is going to be a noose around your neck, when you can spend just a few thousand pounds and learn all the skills needed to make a lot of money on your own terms?

It should be a no-brainer, but, sadly, most people who go to university do so because of peer-pressure and bad education (bad education, ironic, huh?).

Even today, the idea of youngsters going to university and getting a degree is believed to be a vital step in their lives.

It’s seen as an important rite of passage as they transition from adolescents into adults

‘Society’ sees it as an important achievement, something to be ceebrated, and a way to find a high-paying job with security… and nothing can be further from the truth.

For many, it was nothing more than a period of hard work where they exchanged their time for a large pointless and un-payable debt… made worse if they didn’t go to parties and enjoy actually being a student.

The woman with the £75,000 student debt thanks to going to university now working in Sheffield, is earning far less, and struggling more, than Sheffield YouTube sensation, Morgz, who bought his first home with his YouTube earnings before he had even left school!

Unless she ventures out into the online space or starts her own business, it is highly likely that she will not even earn the amount of money Morgz has right now by working the rest of her life.

That should make you think!

As I say, everything can be learned.

With that in mind, you really should check out Double Your Way To A Million programme.

Starting with just £100, you double that initial investment 14 times until you hit £1.6 million… or whenever you hit an amount of money you are happy with.

This plan works and it has made many multi-millionaires.

Two of them, Stuart Goldsmith and Barry Tyler, decided to put everything they did, and learned into this programme:

Double Your Way To A Million

As with everything in life, if you do not have a plan that you can follow, it’s highly likely that you will fail, or waste a hell of a lot of your precious time trying to figure it all out for yourself… kind of like going to university!

Stuart and Barry have included a detailed step-by-step plan that will take you to your goal of becoming a millionaire starting with just £100.

Go take a look now.

Kind regards.

John Harrison.

PS. You’ll be pleased to know that the price of this is nothing like the £3,000 price tag of the course I was looking at recently.

This works out at just 26p a day for a whole year. You cannot buy a newspaper for that price… and the information is far more useful and factual too.

With the Double Your Way To A Million programme you will learn how to get started with £100 and double it to £1.6 million.

Money Making Skills Are The New “Shovels”!

This week I read ‘online business is a gold rush. High-income skills are shovels. Start selling shovels’.

This an interesting modern take on the ‘during a gold rush, sell shovels’ business model that made Sam ‘The Shovel’ Brannan very wealthy.

For those who don’t know, Sam Brannan was a store owner who on May 12, 1848, just four months after the discovery of gold, held a one-man parade announcing the start of the San Francisco Gold Rush.

Walking through the streets shouting…

“Gold! Gold from the American River!”

…Sam spiked interest in the locals causing them to stampede to his store to buy shovels and panning equipment.

Brannan coined it in, and the story of his success led to the popular business saying…

“During a gold rush, sell shovels.”

It is a commonsense approach to business.

In order to make money, give the people what they need and want.

The people wanted to find gold but to do that they needed tools and that is exactly what Sam Brannan sold them.

And he became very wealthy for doing so.

Today, more and more people are going online to make money and that means one thing…  ‘online business is a gold rush. High-income skills are shovels. Start selling shovels’.

The person who posted that is someone who is making thousands of pounds each month teaching other people the skills that she uses to make money online.

She has a set of skills that she uses to find clients, and when she has those clients, she then teaches them how to do the same.

Teaching people how to do specific things in a specific way that gives you specific results is a fantastic way to make money.

It’s clearly working for this person as I know that they are making several thousand pounds each month doing it.

And here’s the thing… you can do the same.

Teaching is nothing more than showing people how to do something and to help them get the results they desire.

Truth is, you don’t necessarily have to help them get the results, you can simply show them what they need to do, help them to figure that all out and then leave them to get on with it.

All you need to do is give them the tools to succeed just as Sam ‘The Shovel’ Brannon did; the rest is up to them.

Showing people what to do is now easier than it ever has been.

Before the days of fast broadband, online storage platforms, tablets, smartphones and laptops, wanting to teach people something meant having to hire a place for people to gather to show them in person, or hire a team of people to record you and have either books or videos made and sent out in the post.

Today, you can simply take a smartphone or a webcam and record yourself doing something and then uploading it to a specific website or platform.

You can record a video and have it online within the day… or within an hour or two depending on what you are doing.

In this video HERE, Andi, our techy guy, talks about how easy it is to create videos by recording a video as an example and uploading it to the webpage within 30 minutes… and that includes spending time creating images to add to the video.

Go and watch it now.

Kind Regards.

Would You Want To Sleep In An Old Victorian Toilet?

I recently caught an old episode of George Clarke’s Amazing Spaces on Channel 4.

This is the show where architect, George Clarke, and his master craftsman mate, Will Hardy, go around the country looking at people’s renovations and small building projects.

In this particular episode, Will was sent to look around a small… I’m not sure what you call it really?

It’s a tiny and quirky one bed self-catering holiday rental, something that you would probably find on Airbnb and Booking.com, converted from a disused Victorian ladies toilet.

Yes, you read that right!

A Victorian ladies toilet!

The building, called the Loovre, itself is very ornate and it would make a great beach chalet, but I am not sure that it is as appealing on the side of a road in Berwick Upon Tweed, close to an Iceland store.

It looks quite cute but I can’t imagine myself booking it for the night.

It memory serves me well, the guy who bought the tiny toilet, spent around £20,000 converting it into the small holiday rental.

I have no idea how successful it has been renting out the property, or for how much, but at £100 (example) per night (and why would you want to pay that to stay in a cramped loo by the side of a road?) he would need to let it at least 200 times to make his money back.

Actually, it would need to be more because there will be tax to pay on his income and so he would need to rent it out more to get his full £20,000 investment back.

I guess it is quirky enough for some people to spend a night or two in it. Looking on the Airbnb website it appears that the property has 119 reviews with a very respectful 4.92 start rating.

People like different things and so there may be those who like the idea of spending the night in an old Victorian loo by the side of a road.

Property is a great investment, it usually always goes up in value… but that’s not always the case.

Plus, when you start buying small and quirky property like Victorian loos, there may fewer people interested in buying those properties, and so when the time comes to sell it, you may struggle to find a buyer who is willing to pay what you spent on it or more.

£20,000 is quite a lot to spend on a project that may or may not earn you an income.

However, as the saying goes…

Nothing Ventured… Nothing Gained!

The truth is… without actually spending money, you are unlikely to make money.

There are very few businesses that I can think of that will make you money from a free standing start.

There is always going to be some upfront investment required.

And as I talked about in a previous article, all millionaires and billionaires are willing to lose money trying out new business ventures and ideas.

Those people who protect their money as if their lives counted on it do not truly understand what money is.

Money is a tool that is used to buy anything and everything.

It is a tool that is used to make more money.

By spending money, you either make more money or you lose it.

It all depends on what you spend it on and what your intention was when spending it.

I believe that the guy who spent £20,000 buying and renovating a Victorian toilet will get his money back… and more.

Yes, it is possible that it may lose money, nothing in life is guaranteed, but if he looks after it and markets it properly, he should get his money back and make a profit over time… which is what he appears to be doing nicely according to his Airbnb reviews.

Yes, I have joked about the property and I still find it strange that people would want to spend the night in an old tiny Victorian loo by the side of the road…

But he has done a great job renovating it, and if it fails as a holiday rental, I have a great idea where he could rent it by the hour as a Japanese-style love hotel for people looking for boozed-up illicit meets at the weekend after the clubs have closed.

And that is the point… after spending money on his little property; he now has something that could be used in many different ways to make money.

Now, I am not going to suggest that you go out and spend £20,000 on buying an old disused Victorian loo or something equally small and stinky, what I am suggesting is that if you want to be successful and increase your wealth, you will need to spend money developing something that people will want to buy, use, or rent.

That can be an offline product or service such as a property or a gym, or an online product like a website or a course.

With a lot of products, you create a basic/beta version which you release to the product and you then develop further when the money starts coming in.

I don’t know how much was initially spent developing platforms such as Patreon, GoHighLevel, or Clickfunnels, but they are all now turning over millions in profit for the owners.

The versions that are being used now are not the same as the versions that were initially released to the public.

They have evolved and developed to be much better.

And that is something you should think about… you do not need to spend thousands upon thousands developing something so that it is complete and right from the start, a basic version can be all that is required to get started.

A good example of this would be the person converting an old building into apartments.

As well as selling some apartments ‘off plan’ before the build has been started, the builders would focus their efforts building a few apartments to sell, and the money made from those initial sales would be used to develop the rest of the development.

It is the same when property developers build large housing estates.

Instead of trying to build the whole estate all at once, the builders focus on a few streets getting those houses ready to sell to get money back into the bank ASAP.

The rules is… don’t try and do it all at once, do it in stages.

Want to create a product teaching people how to do something specific?

  1. Write a short report first and add it to your website to sell for a few pounds.
  2. Expand on the report to make a comprehensive eBook and then sell that updated version for a few pounds more.
  3. Create a few videos to go with the eBook and then bundle them together to make a more expensive product.
  4. Create a membership where people pay a small fee to access the bundle and a couple of new videos each month.
  5. At the end of the year, take all those new monthly videos along with the eBook and previous video training and create a full training vault for a one-off larger fee.

Start small and build on that.

And if you need to… spend some money… it is the only real way to move forward towards greater wealth.

A perfect example of starting small and then using what you earn to build wealth is the Double Your Way To A Million programme.

Starting with just £100, you double that initial investment 14 times until you hit £1.6 million… or whenever you hit an amount of money you are happy with.

This plan works, several multi-millionaires have been created from following it.

Two of them, Stuart Goldsmith and Barry Tyler, decided to put everything they did and learned into this programme:

Double Your Way To A Million

As with everything in life, if you do not have a plan that you can follow, it’s highly likely that you will fail, or waste a hell of a lot of your precious time trying to figure it all out for yourself.

Stuart and Barry have included a detailed step-by-step plan that will take you to your goal of becoming a millionaire starting with just £100.

Go take a look now.

Push & Pull Marketing – Which Works Best In 2024?

Which is best, Push or Pull marketing?

For those of you who don’t know, Push and Pull marketing describes the two main different types of marketing which are:

Push – Using paid advertising, mailings, affiliates, and joint venture partners to send your content directly to potential customers directing them to a specific product page or offer.

Pull – Sharing and publishing free content and information which pulls people into your world.

A great way of differentiating the two is to think of them like this:

Push – You directly educate the customer about your products or services.

Pull – the customer educates themselves by searching for the information they need regarding specific products or services.

Pull marketing is often ‘clothed’ in books, reports, and videos that share valuable information and training about specific topics.

The information in those books, reports, and videos are useful to the person consuming it, but it doesn’t always give away everything, and if it does, it highlights how specialised or labour-intensive the work is leading the consumer to the conclusion that they need to purchase either a product or service to help them.

Some forms of marketing could be considered to be both Push and Pull due to the fact that you can share useful content that is designed to send people to your website by purposely putting it in front of them via email or social media posts.

The other big differences between the two are:

  1. Cost
  2. Speed of results.

There is a correlation between cost and speed of results.

Usually, the Push marketer will see results happening faster, often near instantaneously, through the use of paid marketing methods.

By spending money, the Push marketer can get their product and service details in front of a lot of people quicker which can result in people buying sooner than those relying on Pull marketing.

Push marketing doesn’t necessarily need to be ridiculously costly, but it is usually more costly than Pull marketing.

However, a person can send a load of emails (Push marketing) to potential customers at a cost of pennies, but another person could pay someone to write a series of articles for their website (Pull marketing) at quite a cost to them, so not every example of Push marketing is going to be more expensive than Pull marketing.

Pull marketers can generate profits with a far lower expense giving them a better ROI…but they usually have to wait longer to enjoy the fruits of their labour.

However…

scroll down to carry on reading

…Push marketing can reach more people faster and so they can enjoy more profits overall.

Selling 3 copies of a £1,000 product through blog posts that cost you nothing to write and publish (Pull marketing) gives you a clear 100% profit of £3,000.

Whereas selling 10 copies of the same £1,000 product with an advertising cost of £1,000 (Push marketing) gives you £9,000 profit.

The ROI may be less, but the profits are substantially more.

The other thing to consider when deciding whether to do Push or Pull marketing is that your time is also a cost.

There is a cost to everything you do in business and you pay that cost with either your money or your time.

You have to decide which of the two you are prepared to lose.

Here’s something else to think about… you can always earn MORE money, but you cannot earn more time.

If you have the money available and you are following a clearly defined plan, then using the money to accelerate your success by using Push marketing, and/or paying people to do certain tasks for you is a good option.

If money is not available then paying with your time is probably the only option to you, but you should consider moving over to paying people to do work for you or run some kind of paid marketing campaigns as soon as you can.

As for which works best in 2024, the jury is still out on that one due to many variables. Here are a few Pros and Cons for both methods.

  • Direct mail is not used as much today and so there is less competition making this form of Push marketing very effective if you hit the right audience. (Push pro.)

  • Online advertising is getting more costly and there are so many people doing it today your adverts can get drowned out by all of the other adverts. (Push con.)

  • Social media has exploded allowing people to share a lot of useful content for free. (Pull pro.)

  • Creating content such as videos and articles can be done with ease on smartphones allowing you to create valuable Pull content fast and for free. (Pull pro.)

  • People are becoming increasingly blind to paid online advertising. Studies show that the average person sees between 5,000 and 10,000 adverts per day with only a quarter or less being relevant to them. It’s not surprising people are becoming blind to them. (Push con.)

  • More and more people are either paying to access ad-free versions of popular platforms or have installed ad-blocking software on their devices to avoid being bombarded by thousands of adverts each day. (Push con.)

  • Virtually every social media platform allows paid advertising that can put your products and services in front of potentially millions of people. (Push con.)

  • AI tools are changing the way people ‘search’ for content and websites could soon have their content ‘pilfered’ by those AI tools sidestepping them completely. (Pull con.)

  • While social media platforms allow users to link to external websites for free, they prefer to keep people on the platform and so they show those links to fewer people. (Pull pro & con.)

  • Running adverts can take time to master and it can cost money testing different adverts. It’s easy to make mistakes if you don’t know what you are doing and many people have lost a lot of money running poorly targeted adverts. (Push con.)

  • Social media allows users to ‘brand’ themselves and become a ‘celebrity’ in their own circles growing a large following of fans. (Pull con.)

While Push marketing is increasingly growing more expensive with fewer people ‘seeing’ adverts, it is still a very viable option for growing your business fast.

It may cost more than Pull marketing, but you can make more profits quicker, especially if you use a sales funnel that has multiple products of varying prices.

At the top of this article, I mentioned that email can be considered as both Push and Pull marketing because you can put your product and service details directly into the hand of potential customers, and you can share useful information that has people wanting to go to your website to discover more.

Email is an incredibly powerful tool which has made a lot of people very wealthy… me included.

Should You Become An Online Bird Dog?

If you recognise the lyrics below, sing along with me:

“Well everybody’s heard.

About the bird.

The bird bird bird.

B-bird’s the word.

Well the bird bird bird.

Bird is the word.”

The lyrics are from the 1963 song, ‘Surfin Bird’, by the Trashmen.

The song has regained popularity after featuring in an episode of the popular adult cartoon, ‘Family Guy’.

Here’s the song…

As you can see, it is an ‘interesting’ song, to say the least.

Apparently the lyrics of Surfin Bird is a call to end the unlawful and un-constitutional locking up of minors for flipping the bird to an adult.

During the 1960s, it was illegal for teens to give any adult the middle finger, known at the time as ‘flipping the bird’.

Juveniles were thrown in the cells for this small act and very often they were falsely imprisoned without question just because an adult had claimed that it had happened to them.

It was often used as a way for a Christian fundamentalist to punish a gay child (often their own).

I imagine that it was also used and abused widely to throw people of different ethnicities and cultures into cells as a punishment for being in areas where some of the local white population decided they didn’t want them.

OK, so, why am I telling you this.

Well, there is a way to give the day job the middle finger.

You can flip the bird to being a wage slave by becoming a…

Drum roll please…

 Bird Dog!

“What the hell is a Bird Dog, John?”

FREE Blueprint & Video Tutorial - Request Your Instant Online Access Now!

A Bird Dog is a person that earns a finder’s fee whenever they pass on the details of a potential customer to a another person.

Traditionally a Bird Dog would send the details of a dilapidated and rundown property they believe the owner would sell for a decent price, to a property developer.

The term Bird Dog comes from hunting dogs which would run into the fields and forests to find the birds that were shot out of the air by the hunters.

Some would fetch the kill whereas others, to avoid mangling the dead bird more than they were, would stand and point at the kill for the hunter to pick up.

The online world has made it a lot easier for people to become a Bird Dog.

It is far easier to conduct research and communicate with people from all over the world.

And you no longer need to just find dilapidated properties, either.

The other week I was talking to someone who was telling me how a few years ago they were approached by a friend who worked at a local school informing them to directly apply for a job at the same school instead of doing it through the agency she had just signed up for.

The reason she was told to apply directly was that it meant that if she was successful and was offered the job, the school did not have to pay the agency £2,000 in finder’s fees.

Schools do pay those fees if they have no other choice.

But in the above example, the woman was already well-known to the school and the staff, and so they wanted to save some money which could be used to benefit the school in other ways.

Putting aside the fact that the school in this example wanted to save the money, what it does tell us is that there are people who earn large finder’s fees by simply sending schools and companies the names and details of good candidates for job positions.

The whole purpose of these agencies is to find good candidates for positions freeing up schools and companies so that they can carry on as normal.

Agencies sort out those who are good for the role from those who are not and then forward on the details.

All the schools or company needs to do is interview the candidates.

Today, many Bird Dog organisations simply set up websites where people submit their details and CVs, and the website owner then forwards those details to any companies that approach them.

The website owners liaise between the two until a final decision has been made.

Whenever anyone accepts a job offer, the website owner is paid a finder’s fee.

The internet has allowed people to set up Bird Dog websites where they earn money from both parties.

Instead of being paid a finder’s fee every time they send the details of a person that resulted in a successful sale, purchase, or placement, they take an admin (membership) fee from both parties who open up an account and add their details.

This is like a middleman marketplace service where each party searches for the other.

It doesn’t earn the same amount per person/deal as a traditional Bird Dog deal, but it is a lot more passive and can allow you to earn more because your website processes more people.

Instead of earning £2,000 from supplying one successful candidate to a job placement, you earn £2,000 from having 200 people paying you £10 per month to have a profile on your website.

You can charge more than £10 if you wish, but you need to not make it too expensive otherwise you are pricing people out.

But if you were able to charge £20 per month, you would only need 100 to make you £2,000 per month without having to do any research or communicating with people.

Another kind of online Bird Dogging is where you introduce people to specific coaching and mentoring programs.

Some people call it High Ticket Affiliate Marketing because people earn a large fee when they sign someone up to a program they are affiliated with.

To use that popular Shakespeare misquote…

A rose by any other name is still a rose.

No need to email in, I know that it is incorrect, but for this example it works well.

Whether you send someone to a mentoring program for a £1,000 commission, or send the details of a property to a property investor for a £1,000 finder’s fee, you are still introducing one person to another and being rewarded when there’s a successful purchase.

There are a lot of people currently selling expensive programs to earn large affiliate commissions (finder’s fees), some people think that the marketplace is saturated, I am not so sure about that, myself.

What I do know is that there are many different industries where you can be paid a large fee for introducing people to the right people.

The reason why people pay you a lot for your efforts is that you save them a lot of time and work.

Instead of them having to do extensive research, spend time running advertising campaigns, reach out and talk to people, you do it for them allowing them to carry on doing what they do best, which is the work they do.

Another example would be Eric who I wrote about here: Eric Regularly Makes £2,100 For Doing Just 30 Minutes Work!

Eric contacted a company that specialised in working with concrete such as laying concrete floors and bases, and asked them if they would allow him to find them customers.

When they said yes, he set himself on Facebook Marketplace advertising concreting services, and whenever anyone contacted him he would go to their place to take notes, photos, and measure up the job.

He would pass the information over to the concreting company who would give him a quote. He would add his finder’s fee on top and then send the inflated quote to the customer.

If they said yes, he would arrange between the two parties when the work can be done, and then liaised between them until the work was finished.

He would bank over £2,000 per job for simply finding the concrete company customers.

Because Eric wasn’t doing the actual concreting and focussed his efforts on finding customers, he was able to find more than one customer each month meaning that he could earn thousands more than when he worked a day job… and still have more free time to enjoy life.

Eric, like many other Bird Dogs, doesn’t need a lot in the way of equipment. He uses a smartphone, a notepad and pen, Facebook, a tape measure, and an email. He may use a laptop, but he doesn’t need to.

Most people have a smartphone, a Facebook account, and a notepad and pen.

Depending on what service you decide to offer, there may not be much more you need than that.

There is good money to be made offering services like these, is this something you think you could do?

 Kind regards

John Harrison
